Irrigation Waterlines

Irrigation Water Lines

* General Irrigation Water Sanitation.

Good farming practice should begin with the elimination of water as a source of contamination.  Globally, there is increased contamination of water sources by disease causing pathogens such as bacteria and rot funghi (eg. Erwinia wilt, etc…).  In many instances, disease causing organisms are present in high concentrations in the streams and dams used by farmers to irrigate their crops. Crops are consequently re-infected on a daily basis during irrigation.

* Drip Irrigation System Maintenance

Drip irrigation has created a new set of challenges for the grower.  Algae growth, slime build up and other organic waste products cause continual blockage of drip lines. This leads to high maintenance costs, stunted seedling and crop growth and other related problems. Growers have an extremely limited range of choices as far as sanitizing agents are concerned, and most of which involve either high capital cost expenditure or constant supervision.

Why Hypochlor® is the answer:

Hypochlor chlorine ® is not only a powerful sanitizer and oxidising agent, but it is also non-phytotoxic and highly effective in the removal of algae and slime. It is economical to use and does not leave any toxic residues in the soil or on the plant.
